MINISTRY
Radio Station 104.1 FM
“The Change”

Radio ministry has been on my heart ever since we
arrived here in the Marshall Islands. In December of 2006 when we moved
into our new compound, it came with a radio
station, praise the Lord! God certainly knows how
to answer our prayers. Over the last year we have
done repairs and got it ready to go on the air.
April 2008, is our target date to start
broadcasting.
As many of you know FM is only good for local
broadcast, it reaches only about twenty to thirty
miles. Some of our outer islands are between three
hundred and five hundred miles away. While
believing God for a station I was thinking about
using AM or possibly Shortwave to reach the outer
islands with the Gospel. In October of 2007 Andrew
Marriott from Missionary Ventures New Zealand came
for a visit. He stayed with us for two weeks and
traveled to the atolls of Ebeye and Langnaar and
saw the churches there. Andrew who has a
background in radio immediately saw the need for
Gospel radio.

Andrew
has since then been a bridge that has connected us
with United Christian Broadcasters Pacific
Partners. This organization headed up by Graham
Carter has a vision to spread the Gospel
throughout the Pacific islands via radio. Upon
talking with Graham and Andrew we have now come up
with a plan to reach the outer islands by
satellite, yes satellite! God always has a better
way. Satellite radio to the outer islands. The
base station located here on Majuro would
broadcast up to the satellite, which then would
send the signal to the outer islands. On the outer
islands a repeater would pickup the signal and
rebroadcast it on an FM frequency that any FM
radio can pickup. To top it all off the outer
islands stations are completely solar powered!
The station will be broadcasting
teaching, music, classes and preaching the Word by
the Marshallese Pastors. Would you like to help in
this ministry? We will certainly need your support
as we come online to broadcast the Gospel here in
the Marshalls. You could plant a repeater on an
outer island or be a part of the operational
support here on Majuro. Please if you would like
